Creative dance is the only activity in which physical movement is used as a personal expression.  This allows children to discover a great deal about their bodies, minds, language, thoughts, imagination, and ideas.  Movement as creative expression plays an important part in life, building self-image, self-awareness, and self-direction.  Awareness of self is very important for children of all ages.

The dance programs are also designed to allow development in the following areas: self-confidence, creativity, coordination, motivation, balance, agility, and most importantly – friendships.  All programs focus on the importance of equality and the lesson plans are designed to be age appropriate.  It is my dream that dance be available to children of all ages and backgrounds.  It can have a tremendous impact on a child’s development & personality.

Dance Expressions is committed to teaching young girls and boys the love of dance.  We are more than a decade strong and continue to build on our programs.  Since we have opened our doors, we have helped several young students re-discover their love of dance.  I teach the students the fundamentals of dance, along with the history of the art.  At the younger levels, I stress developing coordination and basic steps, along with having "free dances," dance-based activities, and dance games to keep them involved. As we progress through the different dance levels, we focus more on their technique and skills. Our program objectives are to provide classes appropriate for the age and level of the student's ability while challenging them to develop their skills.  Proper technique and form needs a structured, yet rewarding environment; while providing them with fun and loving encouragement.

Committed to our Dancers

We have spent more than a decade refining our programs; making each year better than the last.
