Hello. My name is Theresa DeWolf and I am the owner and director of Dance Expressions by Theresa.  My love for dance started at a very young age, when I viewed my dance teacher as a role model and hero. I watched her turn shy and self-conscious girls and boys into kids that were filled with energy and character.  As I continued to dance through the years I focused on preparing myself to become a teacher, with the goal of opening my own studio where I could show other kids the same thing that my teacher showed me; Believe in your dreams and they will come true.

At the age of 3, I began studying dance at the Canandaigua Dance Studio. During my time there I was an assistant teacher, and finally a teacher during my last years. From there, I moved to Virginia to study at the Virginia Intermont College, a private school designed for the arts.  After a year in Virginia, I had the fortune of studying with some well-known instructors at the State University of Brockport. I have also received my certification in Jazz from Dance Masters of America; a certifying organization focused on teaching. I continue to attend seminars, conventions, and take college classes to keep my skills and choreography up to date.

I have studied dance for over thirty years, and I absolutely love teaching. I am thankful for the opportunity to be involved in developing the student’s “love of dance.”  That is why I am here, for the students and parents.  I will always make myself available to discuss any questions or concerns.
